Senior Homecoming - Week 43

Man, this week was crazy. There's so much that happened in general and it was a really hectic week. On Monday, I played probably my last round of golf for the year at Orchard Valley. I played really well and I even got 5 birdies. There wasn't enough time to finish all 18 holes, but I definitely would have shot in the 70s. Tuesday actually wasn't that bad of a day and I caught up on a bunch of sleep that day. I also ended up starting my ILMEA auditions and I got my scales down that day.

On Wednesday, Tri-M had it's first all member meeting. There wasn't much that happened during it that included me, but I have a lot of plans to do for the future! In addition, Science Olympiad had it's first all member meeting and I got our president a present! One of his events last year was Ornithology which is the study of birds, he generally didn't like the event and joked about how birds were taking over his life. So I got a game of 'birdopoly' which is Monopoly with birds. It was pretty funny giving it to him in front of everyone at the meeting. I also got my kits to make the gliders for the season. I've already started on making them and I feel like I'm getting much better at making them than I was before.

On Thursday, there were a lot of tests to avoid the shortened Friday homecoming schedule. I think I did pretty well in general on all of them. There was also a BPA barbeque that I went to since I had to stay at school and I had nothing to do. Afterwards, I went to a math competition regarding Markov's property and matrices. Our school did pretty well and we got first place overall and in sophomore, junior, and senior divisions. We went to Oak Park high school which is pretty far away, but the school was really nice and I was surprised by what they had. There were desks with whiteboards on them, adjustable height desks, and heavily decorated rooms. There were even LED lights around the whiteboards and a 4th floor in the school.

On Friday, we had our homecoming pep assembly which was pretty fun to watch. I didn't get involved with anything with it though. I didn't do much that day and I went home to prepare myself for my SAT test on Saturday. Saturday was both Homecoming and my SAT testing date. I didn't go to the actual homecoming, but it was still fun taking pictures and eating dinner together. We went to Cantigny park to take pictures and we got hibachi at Shinto's for dinner. I got Yellowfin Tuna which was pretty good and I would get it again if I had the choice!

Sunday, today, was very hectic with ILMEA since I missed a couple days of recording. I recorded so much that my left hand just stopped working. I had EYSO rehearsal as well so much brain was just dying. I eventually gave up and I'm going to do them tomorrow right when I get back from school.

Anyways, that's the overview of last week, there's a lot that happened and I hope you guys enjoyed. Thanks for reading!
