Personal Project Details - Week 1
Hi, my name is Charlie. I am a current Junior in high school and I'm opening this project to get out of my comfort zone and be able to communicate more freely. I look forward to trying new things and sharing my experiences on here. In addition to creating a blog, I must also advertise it and share it around, otherwise this is no different than a journal. I don't aim to make any money off of this, the blog is purely for self improvement. I'll share the rules and goals that I have set for myself for the blog:
1. I must post at least every week about what I went through. This can include events that I did, how I'm feeling, what's coming up, etc. etc.
2. Every time I make a post, I share the blog on some form of social media. This makes me more out of my comfort zone as more and more people come onto here.
3. I must follow through with this for at least a year. This helps me work on my mental discipline and it will show my commitment to doing this.
Here's what you can expect from the blog:
1. I have many extracurricular commitments out of school such as golf, violin, Science Olympiad, BPA and Math Team. I will post my experiences about this (and if you go to my school you can see what you can expect from joining those clubs).
2. School in general. I take many classes and my day is generally loaded with activities. I will show how I'm feeling and ways that I motivate myself to get through the day.
3. Personal milestones. Anything that I see that is worth celebrating or sharing will probably get onto here. I will also show my failures and what I did wrong, so others reading this can improve themselves based off of it.
4. Personal Life. I can show what I've done that may be interesting to other people. For example, some people might be more interested in the fact that I play violin, and they may not be that interested in golf. I will try to blend these together or cycle them out each week. You can expect long or short posts depending on what happens during the week. Sometimes I may post what I've done outside of school related things and how I've just relaxed.
5. I'm thinking of tutoring other people in subjects like math and science. This is from me being an upperclassman and maybe I can help those that are much younger than me. I will provide contact information and tutoring information maybe later.
You can maybe think of the blog as like a newsletter of my life, just showing a little bit of everything. I hope that this blog attracts the right people, and I don't expect people to regularly visit the blog and see what I post. I do hope I inspire others to create projects like this as well and share their own stories and lives with others. Since this is a personal project, I don't expect it to explode in popularity, but I do have a glimpse of hope that it attracts the right people who support me. I will consider this as my first post ever and the one for the week. Thank you for reading if you have gotten this far.
-Charlie
