Hectic Weekend - Week 38

So far, this week has been kind of normal, no clubs have really started yet. But one thing that did happen was I got sick in the middle of the week, I had a fever on Wednesday that went to 99.9 degrees using the armpit method (which usually shows lower temperatures than it actually is). It ended up getting better after a long rest and my temperature is back down to normal, but my symptoms are still present. This includes a sore throat each morning until I take medication for it and lots of mucus. It ends up not only clogging up my nose, but my throat as well. It causes me to have cough attacks that are pretty nasty and make me clear my throat a lot of times to no avail. 

During the weekend, I had the EYSO fall camp and the SAT as well. These were some bad times because of all the mucus in my system. I feel really bad about clearing my throat a lot during the test and coughing so much. I managed to get a box of tissues by my seat to not sniffle the entire time. I think I ended up getting a lot of my testing room sick since there was a lot of sniffling, throat clearing, and coughing by the end of the test. I feel bad about that so I ended up wearing a mask to fall camp. This was kind of a mistake though, since I was coughing so hard that saliva and mucus came flying out of my mouth straight into the mask. It was nasty but I ended up getting through it. It was awkward coughing my way through rehearsal and constantly clearing my throat. But besides that, there was one other situation that happened. There is a skit that we all do with bags of random stuff brought by other musicians. Out group had a fight scene and when I was knocked down I landed on a cd case and it broke under my body weight. It ended up slashing my hand pretty big, but it was shallow since it was more of a sideways up instead of straight in. It's recovering pretty well, but still stings a lot and I don't know how I'll golf with it. Hopefully it heals fast enough that I can swing a club still. I have layers of gauze pad on it currently with some tape to hold it, so hopefully that will be enough.
