Graduation - Week 35

Hello everyone, this week I went to my sister's graduation from Harvard. It was a really great experience meeting other graduates as well and it was surprising how many of them read this! I'm really proud of my sister for doing this and she definitely deserves a nice break this summer. It was interesting going Massachusetts and experiencing the culture there as well. I tried a really interesting hot pot buffet named shabu shabu which I would recommend if you pass by there. In addition, we tried Pinocchio which had really good subs and pizzas. Getting there was also very tiring as we would have to wake up early most morning to either fly back and forth from Illinois or to attend the events and arrive on time with public transport. We had to wake up at 4 to get there and wake  up at 3 to go back which was really tiring. We would also spend a lot of time outside and only go to the hotel at the ends of each day. I'm really glad I got to go since finals interfered with my schedule to go, but I got it all straightened out. We got a lot of good pictures and I got to meet a bunch of new people! There were many receptions and parties where I got to meet new people that my sister knew. They were all really hectic and there were way more people than I could have imagined. There were also a bunch of important people that were affiliated with the graduation, like the prime minister of New Zealand and the mayor of Boston. Sometimes it was intimidating how good everyone there was, especially with their achievements listed out and their speeches. However, everyone there was very humble and open to others and they were very accepting to talking to other people. Many people came up to my sister not because they knew her but just because they saw her a couple times before. I think this is a really good atmosphere and I hope I can find this same kind of atmosphere when I go to college!

Well I think that's mainly it for this week, one thing to note is that I'm starting to caddy again and making money again. Also I want to hang out with more people over the summer, so just contact me if you want to as well! :)

Thanks for reading!

-Charlie
