Week 18- School Starts Again

Don't worry about last week, my New Years Resolution is safe and I got in bed just before 1. School started again recently and I forgot how taxing it is. I feel like I'm busier than I was before and I'm spending way more time not at home because of it. Every day except for Friday, I've gotten home very late. I'm spending more time at the library and at clubs. On Monday I went to the library and stayed there for a while. On Tuesday I went to Science Olympiad and started making a second Wright Stuff. Wednesday, I got coerced(?) into doing the dragon dance for Chinese Club and went to Science Olympiad straight after. And then I went to the library after that (of course). Thursday went more or less the same as Tuesday except I went to set up and usher for a concert instead of going to the library. Now at this point I was really really tired and I still had to get through Friday. On Friday I managed to go home early... only since I had to record a BPA presentation for my event because it was the very last day to do it and it was due at 4pm for some reason. I won't lie, I was a bit late to turning it in, but that was only because the introduction video wasn't very good and it they used a direct link to get to the submission website, instead of the student way. So I kept trying to put in the website url that was shown in the video but it kept saying that the website wasn't finished being built. Anyways I was still able to submit it and hopefully I won't be penalized for it.

Some of you might be wondering why I keep going to the library after school instead of home. Even though it is true that going back home makes me relax more so I can feel less tense and eat some food, I'll feel too relaxed and get distracted and do less work than when I'm tired. It's also a nice quiet environment where I can study without distractions and nothing much happens there. It's also a good excuse to take a mental break and walk to the library. I've learned to bring snacks now so I can eat some food either from the vending machine or from my bag. If anyone sees this, you should also go to the library, I heard the NPL library is pretty crowded and is pretty much the exact opposite of the APL, but meeting up with people there is nice since you can be kind of loud without needing a private room that you have to reserve.

School has also been rough lately, even though first semester hasn't really ended yet this week, we've been pounded with new topics and we're being tested on them quicker than all of our other units. For example, after the 4 day weekend, I have a calculus test and a chemistry quiz already. These are units we've just learned and it feels way too fast, especially with my schedule out of school. Well, that's pretty much it for this week and complaining about school. I kept my resolution for another week and I've made another post. Come back again next week and I'll try to fix my schedule more.

Thanks,

-Charlie
