Week 6 (Hoco!)

Hey guys, it's me again. A lot has happened and I've tried to delay this post just so I can fit it all in for this week. I've also learned a valuable lesson to not post this stuff to reddit because it gets lost very easily (last weeks post), so I'll continue to post this on snapchat and instagram for the time being. This weekend was the WVHS Homecoming Weekend. I was really excited to go since I missed a year of it and didn't really do anything last year.

This years Homecoming was a blast, I feel like I got to experience everything that it's supposed to offer. My amazing date, Stephanie, went with me this year (pictures at the bottom) and I don't think that this homecoming would've been fulfilled without her. We first went to take pictures with our group of friends at Spring Lake Park, it was really nice and the clouds even started clearing up when we got there. We had a bit of time to kill before we had to go to dinner for our reservation, so we just kind of hung around there for a while. There were so many bees so we decided to go a bit earlier. We went to Kiku's to eat and we got a lot of sushi that we didn't even end up finishing. It was a bit pricy but still worth it to go out and eat again this year, I can say that last years funds went into this years homecoming! After eating, we went to the WVHS Homecoming, to be honest, the dj had it's highs and lows, at some points it was really good, and other times it was kind of like a resting period where it wasn't that good. A wild part was that everyone kept throwing around water bottles that the school provided, so everyone got drenched. We decided to stay outside of the moshpit because of this though... After WVHS, we went to a friend's afterparty, it was really fun because there were so many good activities. We played air hockey, pool, and sung karaoke together and it was definitely more fun than the WVHS Homecoming to us. That's pretty much all that went down on Saturday for Homecoming, I'll post a picture of us together on the bottom of the post though!

In addition to homecoming, there was also state golf this week. I didn't play in it but I wanted to commemorate all my friends that did play in it, particularly Salil. On the first day he played really well and ended up well in the top 5 for the tournament. On the second day, he ended up injuring himself on the final stretch and ended up tying for 12th place. I'm really glad I got to meet this beast of a guy and look forward to playing with him next season!

Well that's mostly everything that was notable this week. All my clubs have started so I haven't been able to have that much time to do things, but I'm gradually adjusting because this is still way easier than compensating time for a sport. Maybe it's just because they're only just starting, but I have a feeling that clubs are going to be really fun this year and I can't wait until we can have competitions in the same building again. Everything is starting to become routine and adjusting is much easier now. I can't wait to see how this year will turn out now that I've had my first major school event for the year. I can already feel how different it is from freshman year.

Well that's it for this time, I'll catch you guys again next week.
